Meet Tim
What was life like before bariatric surgery?
My life was miserable. Constant up and down weight loss. Could not run or workout. Tying my shoe was hard. I had sleep apnea/high blood pressure and I was tired all the time and had no energy. Biggest frustration was the yo-yo effect!! Up and down weight loss. Reffing basketball was very hard and that was my wake up call after I refereed for a camp in New Mexico and barely could walk afterward.
If you put off the decision to come in for a long time, why was that? What kept you from booking a consultation?
I guess fear of the unknown. So many war stories of how surgery went wrong for others. Thought surgery was admitting defeat. Lack of trust.
What was it like to work with the team, from the start of your journey to today?
It was absolutely incredible. Everyone has been friendly and supportive. I am a Christian and it was absolutely awesome to have Dr. Peterson pray for me before the surgery. He was very open and honest with information. Put my mind at ease and it was very encouraging!! Continue to have support and receive motivation and encouraging emails!!
What is your life like now? What’s the #1 thing you love being able to do now?
Life is awesome. I can exercise!! I run 3 to 4 1/2 miles. I play basketball. I coach a boys 6th grade team and I am able to run up and down the floor with them. I referee basketball and I can run the floor. Love my energy!!! No blood pressure medicine and no cpap. No prescription meds!!!
